Programs - Community Outreach Projects - We Care

The Chilliwack Quilters' Guild members make several 'We Care' and 'Hospice' Quilts each year which are donated to various charities in the Chilliwack area.

We have a high expectation all members will donate a minimal of ONE quilt annually.

We make donation quilts all year. At our December / Januarymeetings a couple of designs are be presented to members by the “We Care Quilt Committee”.  If you wish, you can use these designs or use a design of your liking.  The quilt can be any size. The Guild will supply the batting and backing for one-two quilts per member per year (while supplies last.  The members supply their own fabrics for the quilt tops. The quilts are donated to various groups here in Chilliwack.

We accept donations of good quality cotton fabrics for our  'We Care & Hospice'  Quilts at our guild meetings, or send an email: webmastercqg@gmail.com and we can arrange for one of our members to pick-up your donation. Thank you

Sizes

The sizes listed below are a general guideline and if you have chosen a pattern that doesn't quite come out to any of these sizes don't worry, just adjust your pattern accordingly by adding or taking out extra squares, or adding on a border, etc.

Infant/baby    36 x 42
Child/Youth   48 x 60
Single            60 x 72
Double          72 x 84

Once again please keep in mind if you are going to make a larger size quilt, remember the men!
