Meetings: Are held September thru June. The 3rd Tuesday of the Month at The Landing Sports Center “Loft”, 45530 Spadina Ave, Chilliwack, BC
- Doors open: 8:30 A.M. All members help to set up the tables and chairs.
- Program: 9:00 A.M. May consist of a speaker, demos or member providing instruction on a special project or technique. The Guild does pay member $75.00 plus any photocopying costs to present a program – it is free to members who wish to take it.
- Show and Tell: Approximately 10:30 A.M. Members bring their finished quilts, runners, placemats etc for display and explanation. While show and tell is in progress we ask that members curtail their chatter.
- Business Meeting: Approximately 11:00 A.M. Occasionally, depending on the program the business meeting may be at 9:00 A.M.
- Clean Up: Approximately 12:00 Noon. All members are responsible for putting away tables and chairs.
- Free Coffee and Tea: Are provided at the meetings so remember to bring a cup.
Newsletter: Each month an informational newsletter will be posted to the website for members to download. A notification email will be sent notifying members when the newsletter is available, usually the Friday prior to our meeting.
Members are encouraged to submit articles to the newsletter. Submissions must be made by 5:00pm the 2nd Wednesday of the month to the following email: email@example.com.
Library: The Guild has an extensive collection of books and magazines. These are available to members in good standing; they can be kept for one month.

Name Badge: You will receive a name badge kit to make when you sign up as a new member. Please wear it at each meeting as there is a door prize every guild meeting. Click here for Name Badge Instructions.
Two Gift Certificates - Drawn at every Guild Meeting.
The first draw is for wearing your name badge at the meeting - if your name is called at that specific business meeting and you are wearing your name badge, you will win a gift certificate from Countryfolk Fabrics & Gifts located at 45802 Luckakuck Way. You must be in attendance when your name is called.
The second draw is a door prize picked from the members in attendance at the specific business meeting that morning, a gift certificate from Hamels Fabric Store located at 5843 Lickman Road.
The gift certificates are generously donated by the individual stores.
Sewing & UFO Retreat Day: On the 2nd Thursday in the month held at the Lynnwood Retirement Residence, 9168 Corbould Street from 9:00 - 3:00 coffee & tea provided. All members are invited to get together to sew, appliqué, quilt and knit or come for a visit.
Two Pot Luck Meetings - June & December: Everybody brings a food of their choice to share. Members provide the necessary serving utensils for their food item, plus a cup, plate, cutlery and placemat for personal use.
We Care & Hospice Quilts: We have a high expectation all members will donate a minimal of ONE quilt annually.
Usually, in January, our We Care committee present a couple of designs to members at our monthly Guild Meeting. If you wish, you can use these designs or use a design of your liking. The quilt can be any size.
The Guild will supply the batting and backing for one-two quilts per member per year. The members supply their own fabrics for the quilt tops. The quilts are donated to various groups here in Chilliwack.
Workshops: Several times a year the Guild will hire a teacher to provide a workshop for the members.Workshops date and time vary depending on availability of instructors. The Guild will pay some of the expense for the teacher. The rest of the cost will be paid by the participants. Usually a limited number can attend, we may need to do a draw of names for attending! Prices vary according to the instructor and the type of class. What a wonderful opportunity to get to know other guild members and to learn new techniques. So don't be shy, besure you sign up.
Quilt Show/Raffle Quilt: The Guild holds a biennial quilt show usually in October, this allows our members to exhibit their work, (2017, 2019, etc). At the same time a quilt is made to Raffle. This quilt is made by volunteer members. Funds raised from quilt show and raffle are used to support Guild activities and We Care/Hospice projects.
Bus Trips: Occasionally we will get an offer by another Guild to join them in a bus trip south of the border etc. This is funded by the individual member.
Annual General Meeting: The general meeting is held in May. At this meeting members vote on the budget and committee positions that are available. The general meeting is held on the same day as the monthly guild meeting.
